Goal: Improve Boat-speed, Boat-handling, Starting Skills and Tactics
Coaches:
Steve Hunt is a 3x World Champion sailor and the most successful scholastic coach in the country with 11 National Championships. After spending 7 years on the US Sailing Team campaigning the 470, Steve started racing sailboats professionally and coaching Point Loma High School in 2006.
When not racing, coaching or spending time with his family, Steve is a contributing editor to Sailing World magazine and prepared a series of instructional presentations to the US Sailing Team on starting and tactics. Over the past year Steve has focused a lot of time on coaching C420s and is very excited to help you improve your game during this clinic.
Parker Shinn is the High School National Championship record holder with 7 titles. Since then he has focused on racing 505's, a high performance double handed dinghy. In 2019 Parker placed 3rd at the 505 World Championship in Fremantle Australia. When not racing himself, Parker loves to coach and spent 4 years working with the SFYC Laser and 420 teams.
