COACHES:
Anna Tunnicliffe Tobias won the Olympic Gold Medalist in the ILCA at the Beijing Games. She has also won multiple world championships, is a four-time Rolex Sailor of the Year, competes at the highest level in CrossFit, and is also a former US College Sailor of the Year. Anna’s approach to coaching leverages her experiences that led her to the pinnacle of performance. Her coaching is technical and direct. Anna runs a fast paced day with drills designed to achieve daily technical objectives that include plenty of racing integration to transfer new skills into practical use. Sailors will enjoy direct involvement in the interactive video and session debrief each day
Maru Urban was named the 2021 Sail1Design Coach of the Year and coached with the US Olympic & Paralympic Team at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Maru has coached many very successful laser programs around the US.
CLINIC PARTICIPATION TO BE CAPPED AT 20 SAILORS — Any additional registrations will be marked as “waitlisted” and those sailors will only be accepted if we are able to hire additional coaches as needed to provide an appropriate instruction ratio of approximately 10 sailors to at least 1 coach.
Clinic cost is $200. There will be a registration late fee of $50 for any registration after January 10th. The clinic organizers may be able to arrange a limited number of charter boats at a cost of $150/weekend on a first come/first serve basis.
Schedule: Be rigged and ready each day for a 10AM meeting. We’ll be off the water by 4:30PM on Saturday and 4PM on Sunday.
There will be pizza on Saturday during the post-sailing debrief.
Venue: SDYC
Gear: Be prepared to be on the water sailing for 4 to 5 hours. Bring appropriate sailing gear for water temps in the low 60s and a dry bag with any extra gear and plenty of water plus a healthy lunch and snacks to keep you going!
