Entries will be limited to 30 teams per night. Skipper entries open to J/22 fleet members only.

FORMAT
This year we start racing at 3pm for the Open Distance Fleet (it’s open because the course depends on the wind for the day and where you agree to race to), starting in the main fairway and random leg race without the chaos of a short W-L course. Open Distance Racers will return their boats to I Dock by 4:30pm for Silver Fleet. This series will be scored independently of the La Playa series and separate trophies will be awarded for this division at the end of the year.
Silver Fleet will start at 5:00 and race for approximately 1 hour. Gold Fleet will start immediately after Silver Fleet finishes, starting approximately at 6:15, and race for approximately 1 hour.
The initial week Fleet division will be based on number of entries and will randomly assign registered teams to 5pm or 6pm starts. The top five boats from each time group will be placed into Gold Fleet for week 2 and the bottom five boats from each group will sail in Silver Fleet in week 2. Subsequently, each week the team in first in the Silver Fleet will move to the Gold Fleet and the last team in the Gold Fleet will move to the Silver Fleet.
Silver Fleet competitors will do Race Committee for Gold Fleet, Gold Fleet competitors will do RC for Silver Fleet. Race Committee duties will be assigned by Organizing Authority at least 3 days prior. Volunteers always appreciated.
Silver Fleet teams will rig, Gold Fleet teams will derig.
Each week, all races in each Fleet will be tallied to determine placing by Fleet. Overall Week Race scoring will combine both Fleets’ placings. Scoring based on low point system.
