J/22 Fleet
The Fleet is hosting a clinic for racing and non-racing SDYC members alike. From 10am - 2pm we will discuss theory on the dock and then go out and sail in La Playa for the rest of the afternoon to reinforce the mental exercises. You do not need to have a team to show up; individual sailors are encouraged to come and participate in the drills with other clinic participants.
All SDYC Members welcome with facemask, lifejacket and water bottle.
With a focus on racing we will work on:
- Getting familiar with the J22s
- Being a better driver or crew
- Pre-starts
- Roundings
- Boat speed
- Sail trim and footwork
- Responding quickly to wind shifts
- Networking with other sailors
- Sailing in a facemask
- Teamwork and communication
