MISSION: To promote all aspects of boating at SDYC, to incorporate fishing into our Juniors Programs, and to provide SDYC Juniors with hands on education toward marine preservation and conservation.

LOGISTICS

• 2 adult volunteer instructors plus 2 paid assistants per day:
  • Up to 12 children per week, aged 7-11, supervised by 2 adults and 2 paid assistants
  • All volunteers shall be Safe Sport certified: https://www.ussailing.org/competition/resources/safesport-us-sailing/
• Cost: $225 per child
• Program will run two separate weeks in 2023, from 1-4pm, June 26 – June 30 AND August 7 – 11, 2023
• SDYC Anglers will provide all rods/reels/terminal tackle for the camp, but please bring your own if you have it
• Camp participants will get a SDYC Anglers Club T-shirt
• Volunteers: We need adult volunteers! Please let me know if you can donate your time to a great cause!
• Camp will meet at the beginning and end of each day at the Etchell’s hoist lawn area
• Camp will focus on teaching children the basics of fishing. Most time will be spent fishing off the docks at SDYC. More advanced Jr. Anglers may not be the best fit for this program
