San Diego is proud to welcome Star sailors from around the world to the 2013 Star Class World Championship. The San Diego Yacht Club is very pleased to be hosting this prestigious event for the eighth time since the first competition in 1923.

Past Star World Champion George Szabo with crew Craig Moss won two of the five races to win the 51st annual Star Rollins Bowl, which served as the Pre-Worlds regatta.

The 2013 Laser Pacific Coast Championship was held in the Columbia River Gorge, July 12-14. Famous for its extreme thermal breezes, "The Gorge" is a fantastic big breeze venue to practice and race in.

For the second year in a row I (Molly Pleskus) have been lucky enough to attend the U.S. Junior Womens Singlehanded Championship for the Nancy Leiter Cup and represent San Diego Yacht Club, thanks to help from SDYC.

The San Diego Yacht Club One-Design Weekend Regatta normally sees a J105 and Etchells fleet, however this past weekend was spiced up with the addition of a Kiteboarding division.

The 2013 Laser US National Championships were held at Santa Cruz Yacht Club, on June 26-30. Due to a strange front that came through three days before the regatta started, our training days were all characterized by cold weather, rain, and no wind.
