August 17th Friday Frolic Fun Race

By | August 18, 2007

The August 17th Friday Frolic Fun race was won by #16. The winds were light but excellent sailing skills brought Rish and Cissy total success. As always, the winner of the race bought a round of drinks for all in attendance. Since there were no other boats with us, I only had to buy a round for the two of us.

Friend Bruce Anderson is ready to splash #35, AZORA, after years of restoration at Bill Clark's yard which evolved into Traditional Boatworks last year. I am told that the boat will be splashed at Kohelerkraft on the 24th. Call the yard for the exact time. A party is to be held at the Silvergate YC at 4 PM at the bar. We look forward to see the LAST prewar PC built, back sailing. She was trucked down from the Seattle area where she was raced pretty hard in PHRF events. There had been serious modifications to the hull, deck and cabin. She even had an aluminium mast! Thanks to Bill, Doug Jones and Bruce's hard work, she will be back to "normal"... if there is such a thing for a PC! Look for her sailing in the bay!!!
