Ben Mitchell, David Servais and Julie Servais representing the Star Fleet outlasted Team Campbell to be crowned the 1st ever SDYC Club Champions, sailing a great 2-day regatta in La Playa in J/22s. With the race format of 4 boats sailing quick sprints in the cove off of E Dock, Bill, Sherri and Michael Campbell roared out to a big lead by winning all 9 of their Saturday races. But Sunday would be a different story as Team Campbell was unable to win another race, and the Star Fleet consistently sailed races powered them to a 3 point victory.
