The 51st running of the Transpacific Yacht Race kicks off with starts on July 13, 16 and 17 in the 2225 mile race from Los Angeles to Honolulu. SDYC has three boats entered (Tom Holthus' Botin 56 BadPak, Wayne Zittel's Santa Cruz 50 J World's Hula Girl, and Roy Disney's Volvo 70 Pyewacket 70. Additionally a total of 26 SDYC member sailors will be competing in this year's race.
