Greetings everyone. In case you haven't heard, today is the first day of the IOF Regatta (International Old Farts) at SDYC. More appropriately, the International Masters Regatta begins with racing in the bay at 1:00 PM. Come down to the east end of Harbor Island and you can watch from the walkway as this legendary and talented group from across the US, Canada, Sweden and France go at it on Friday and Sunday. SDYC IOF's Malin Burnham, Chuck Nichols and Dennis Case are amongst the field and many of our other IOF's will be amongst the crew… including yours-truly. The races will feature a matched fleet of J-105's and are the debut of SDYC's new sails, featuring SDYC logos and logos of several area business who stepped up to make these sails available for use in this regatta, the Lipton Cup and other upcoming events. If you can't make it to watch the races, come down to the front deck as the fleet arrives each afternoon.
