Jimmy Spithill Presentation a Big Success

By | March 30, 2012

America's Cup Skipper from Team ORACLE Racing Jimmy Spithill came straight from the airport after a long day of travel and entertained a group of 150+ members and juniors last night with a presentation on his experience as a top-level pro sailor in today's America's Cup. The juniors received Oracle Racing hats, a chance to ask some great questions and some photos ops with the skipper.

One of Jimmy's primary focuses (aside from defending the Cup of course) is to promote sailing as a TV-friendly sport. With bigger, faster, cool-looking boats, sailed in spectator-friendly locations, with all the latest in TV graphic technology, the next America's Cup should be a fantastic example of how sailing can entertain even those outside of the sport.
