The online registration is open for the July 22 ODW race. Three races are scheduled for our usual ocean roads site and provides an excellent tuneup opportunity for the Nationals.
There are significant concerns about having the Around The Coronado Island Race in August. The SDYC race committee chairman is very reluctant to put our and their boats in Mexican waters. Your PC board is looking into this situation and wondering about various options.
The Nationals on September 22 and 23 will follow the format of prior years. There will be 3 races on Saturday and 2 races on Sunday. Saturday night we will have a cocktail and dinner party in the Pavilion. Signup will be on line at SDYC.
Our newest fleet member is Phil Thearle. He initiated his fleet racing in the Kettenburg Regatta. It was great to see PC 35 out there in the mix. He has sponsors for SDYC membership so expect him aboard in the near future. He has asked for some guidance in tuning and racing. I have recommended some Quantum staff and I know he will appreciate any help fleet members can offer.
