SDYC’s Vandemoer Heading to the Olympics

By | May 11, 2012

Congratulations to Molly O'Bryan Vandemoer for becoming the latest SDYC Jr. Program graduate to represent SDYC in the Olympics! This week, Molly and her teammates Anna Tunicliffe and Debbie Capozzi qualified to represent the USA in Women's Match Racing at the Olympics this summer in England. She joins Graham Biehl, who will be representing in the 470 class. Go Team SDYC… we're proud of you and will be watching!

I'm happy to report that attendance has increased at the Commodores Luncheons and we have digested all of your comments for a new approach starting the first Wednesday in June. Until then, we are still on the prior program schedule and next Wednesday will be a good one! Vice Admiral Gerald R. Beaman will be our speaker. As a fighter pilot and former head of TOP GUN, I am sure he will have plenty of airplane and aircraft carrier stories to interest everyone.

At our last luncheon, we had 10 reservations yet filled the room with walk-ins, requiring some standing while additional tables were set up. Please make your reservations so that we can ensure that we will have enough space for everyone wanting to attend and hear the Admiral.
