Three "town hall" meetings on the Stepped Slip Reserve Plan for the future of our club are behind us now and we are all looking toward the Semi-Annual Meeting at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2011. Your hard working committee members and board of directors have again revised the plan in response to suggestions made at the final "town hall" meeting held last Tuesday evening. We expect all members who have the best interests of our beloved club in their hearts will support building the reserve funds which will enable the us to meet our short term need to refurbish our docks, dredge to restore the depths and meet the long range replacement obligation under our lease.
I urge every member to carefully read the Notice of Semi-Annual Meeting materials which you will receive early next week. Please come out at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2011, and vote for the new Bylaw to build refurbishment and replacement reserves. The future of your San Diego Yacht Club depends on it.
