The AMSS sponsored "Yesteryear Regatta" will be held in May. Below is a calendar of events kindly offered by SDYC Member Greg Stewart. The PC's have, in the past, been the largest fleet involved. Let's do it again this year!
The Skippers meeting and the post race party / awards presentation will immediately follow racing at San Diego Yacht Club (SDYC). Each entrant will receive a participation memento courtesy AMSS. Take home trophies will be awarded to the first three boats on corrected time in each class. In addition, the winner of each of the long standing Yesteryear Regatta Perpetual Trophies will be announced. AMSS will once again hold it’s popular raffle of items donated by local businesses.
Racers are invited to moor at the front dock of SDYC Friday night for the pre race dockside informal gathering and Saturday night for post race activities.

The Yesteryear Regatta, first called the Spring Regatta, was organized in 1975 by local classic boat enthusiasts Bill Clark, Doug Smith, and Bob Spriggs. They later founded the Ancient Mariners Sailing Society in 1976 to promote the enjoyment of classic boats. This year the Yesteryear Regatta is again one of the three events in 4th Annual California Classic Yacht Series.
