On June 14-15, SDYC will be hosting the second of two events in the Area Group GHJL Qualifier Series, where the fastest fleet will advance further along to the ultimate goal of competing in the U.S. Match Racing Championship.
The 52nd annual Star Rollins Bowl was held at SDYC on the weekend of May 31/June1. We had a small but strong fleet of ten enthusiastic Star sailors including two former world champions. Several teams came in from out of town, rolling in Saturday morning towing their Star boats.
There were two finalists for the prestigious Marlow Ropes College Sailor of the Year award: Nevin Snow (San Diego, Calif.), a sophomore at Georgetown University and Graham Landy (Norfolk, Va.), a junior at Yale University.

The Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA) held the final High School Championship of the sailing season with the Baker Team Race Championship in Seabrook, TX. Congratulations to Point Loma High School on another High School Championship this season.
