At the 121st SDYC Opening Day, the entire membership was treated to see our Commodore's Flag Ship, PC #84 at the dock near the ceremony. She was decked out in colorful flags and beautiful to see. A day earlier, she sailed in the Opening Day Race.
Fred and Connie Smales, of Hawaii, were on hand to enjoy Opening Day as well. Fred is best known for his activity with the LA PC Fleet, sailing PAMALIN, #30, in the 1960's and 1970's.
#16 DAWN was awarded the trophy for "Best Maintained Kettenburg PC".
