What a July 4th weekend we had. With the big day falling on a Wednesday, many of us enjoyed an extra, extra long weekend. Many thanks to Kirsten Stahl and Niza Brown who organized the countless activities and also to Chris Cramer who shared some history about July 4th and enlightened us to the joys of beer through his Karl Strauss beer tasting event which also served as a fundraiser for our Junior Program.
Lastly, mark down next Thursday for after work cocktails and dinner for our Commodore's speaker series. This month's speaker will be SDYC's own Bruce Sutphen who was a project manager for James Cameron's recent submersible dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench… maybe you heard about it? Bruce will be full of stories and hopefully photos of this incredible feat. Come down and join us.
