Where am I now? Our trip to France was the usual party and good time. We enjoyed vertical climbs to Cather fortresses and walled the cobblestones of Carcassonne. We ended the trip with several days in Paris, which we always enjoy. As always, we were glad to make it back home. I was able to get Dawn
cleaned up and dressed, along with the rest of the PCs on E street and (though jet lagged) enjoyed seeing all our lovely boats showing their best. Number 11 looked just great at the dock on display for the crowd and I have included a photo of her.

All the PCs were shining for Opening Day. Included here is a photo of First Fiddle at the dock. Thanks to Jim Oberg for the work he put into to show her. Another boat to be mentioned is Jade, #9. She looked beautiful and Vance has put a lot of time and love into the recent trip to the beauty parlor. Amazing that he could get his boat to look so lovely without spending any money at all! A job well done. Thank you, Vance. It is hard to believe that these wonderful yachts are pushing 80 years old and still looking beautiful and winning trophies!

On April 9, fleet member Mark Reynolds (#31) offered a seminar on sails and rig tuning. It was a big hit to the extent that the meeting had to be moved to a larger room to accommodate all the attendees! Mark wrapped it up with a trip to E Street to offer some advice on tweaking the rig and sails. How great it is to have another accomplished sailor offer his experience to the group!

There were 7 PCs at the line for the Opening Day Race. Congrats to Doug Holthaus (#40) and his crew for cleaning up. Our trusty fleet Captain Geves Kenny
(#14) finished a close second and it was a wonderful surprise to see new fleet member Steve Brownsea (#42) taking third. Looks like Steve will be adding to
the excitement of the fleet races! I was also able to get a nice shot of #42 at the dock the day before the races and have included it.

This month will bring the Kettenburg Regatta on June 25, 26 and 27. As always, much effort has been put into this event, so we hope fleet members will make a good showing. Remember that July 24 will be the On Design races. Again, I will remind readers about the San Diego Wooden Boat Festival to be held at Koehler Kraft on June 18 and 19. Please join us!

Last month, the PC computer I have used to maintain the PC website smoked. I have since replaced it with a new IMac but do not have the needed Dreamweaver software for a Mac to maintain the site. The club webmaster, Jared, tells me that he is working on developing a system such that special expensive software will no longer be needed to write and maintain the web site so I am having to let the PC Website sit fallow for a while. If any of you Mac computer weenies out there know of a way around this problem, I would be pleased to hear from you, so that I might keep the site up to date.

The lovely summer weather is here! Enjoy your club and get your boat out on the water!
