October 28th brought the fleet the annual “Lady Skipper’s Race”. It was a good turn out with 6 boats in running. Because of the Santa Ana’s.. the winds were kind of "weird" but everyone had a good time. Boats racing were 14, 21, 40, 42, 54 and 66. Congrats go to Maddy Brownsea, 42, Diana Caldwell, 21, and Lindsey Gibbons, 40 for taking the first 3 places in that order. Following close behind were Jane Kenny, 14, Claudia Gonzalvo, 66 and Cathey Worthington, 54. Thanks to all of you skippers and crew for showing the rest of us how to sail! Yes…I know that there was a little confusion as to the course…but there is confusion on our boat every time we sail so it all seems normal to Cissy and me.
