On Friday November 4, 2016, 25 members of the Pt. Loma Association Mean Green Team beautified the landscape in the outer perimeter of SDYC and in front of the clubhouse. For 2.5 hours, these hard workers, many of them also SDYC members, trimmed, weeded and mitigated pest problems. Many of the SDYC existing plants provide cuttings and pups which the workers trimmed and used to fill in gaps. Detailed efforts were applied to eradicating mealybugs, aphids and aloe cancer on our valuable Aloe species. Becoming a member of or donating to the Point Loma Association makes these beautification projects possible. Of course, none of this could happen without the service of our own SDYC staff who helped with cleanup, disposal and feeding the hungry workers. Thanks to all for these generous donations of time and talent.
