SDYC’s June Re-Opening Plan

Clubhouse hours of operation are currently Wednesday – Sunday, 9am to 7:30pm. As we plan our own strategies, the primary focus is on safety of SDYC members and staff.

OVERVIEW

Dine-In Restaurant re-opening:
On the evening of May 20, 2020, the Governor approved the County of San Diego's request to proceed with modified on-site dining throughout the San Diego region.

Prior to implementing on-site dining, please review the resources below and modify your food facility operations to meet the COVID-19 prevention measures listed in the San Diego Safe On-site Dining Plan and San Diego Restaurant Operating Protocol. A copy of your Restaurant Operating Protocol does not need to be submitted to the County; just complete, sign and post it in your facility.

For those restaurants currently operating in a take-out fashion and keeping operations the same, your previously posted protocols suffice. For those operators who wish to expand operations or re-open operations to allow for limited on-site dining, complete and post the Restaurant Operating Protocol.

San Diego Restaurant Operating Protocol – Fill this form out, print and post at a public entrance. Implement all mandatory measures.

Guidance for Food Facility Re-Openings – Guidance checklist to help you with re-opening. San Diego Safe Dining Posters – Print and display these posters at all entrances to the facility.

State Guidance for Dine-in Restaurants – Review guidance for additional optional measures that can be implemented to protect against COVID-19.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR TEAM MEMBERS UPON RE-OPENING

  • All team members will wear facial coverings.
  • Health screenings with temperature checks upon their arrival each day.
  • Anyone who displays symptoms of illness will be asked to stay home.
  • Practicing safe respiratory etiquette.
  • Frequent hand washing with soap and warm water.
  • Social distancing

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR MEMBERS UPON RE-OPENING

  • All SDYC members will practice social distancing and will keep at least six feet away from other people unless they are household members.
  • Members are required to wear facial coverings whenever not at their table.
  • Members will avoid gatherings of any size.
  • Members must check in at the front entrance, as this will be the only point of entrance and exit to the clubhouse at this time.
  • Use of the clubhouse will be for members and members’ family only; no guests at this time.

FRONT ENTRY, BAR, DINING ROOM AND OUTDOOR PATIOS

  • Any and all dine-in services will require a reservation. Reservation’s can be made for up to 6 people.
  • Table seating is limited to members of the same household or members who have asked to be seated together.
  • Reservation check-in will be at the club’s front entrance.
  • All doors in the dining room and front entry will remain open during operational hours to allow for the maximum amount of air circulation. If you get chilled easily, please bring a light jacket.
  • Maximum number of members at a table will be limited to a total of six.
  • We will not permit tables to be put together.
  • A limited disposable menu will be offered.
  • Table spacing will be at the recommended six feet apart.
  • You will have multiple team members taking care of you during your dining experience, this will limit cross-contamination while still being able to provide expedient service.
  • Bartenders will be staffed to provide beverage service for our members while dining-in, but access to the bar will not be permitted at this time.

MEMBERS LOUNGE, LA PLAYA ROOM, UPSTAIRS ROOMS

  • These rooms will remain closed until further notice.

CLEANLINESS AND DISINFECTING PROTOCOLS

  • SDYC will clean and disinfect all high traffic areas regularly throughout the day and evening. This will include but not limited to; hard surfaces, windows and doors, countertops, handles, tables and chairs, etc.
  • Restrooms and front entry; doors, handles, rails, etc. will be cleaned regularly. Certain stalls, urinals and sinks will be closed off due to distancing protocols.
  • Bar, dining and patio areas; table tops, counters and chairs will also be cleaned regularly.
  • Kitchen areas; counters, utensils, handles, equipment, etc. will be cleaned regularly.
