The 2011 NOOD (National Open One Design) Regatta, one of our largest events of the year, starts today, Friday, March 18th and runs through Sunday. If you are not racing come down and join the competitors for all the excitement of the after race festivities:
Friday will feature Chef Darren's wonderful fish tacos for $1.00 in the Foc'sle Bar / La Playa Room, and at the NOOD Tent there will be a Mexican Buffet for $8.95++.
Saturday night will feature a full meal and great music under the NOOD tent with tickets sold at the door.
Sunday afternoon there will be SDYC's great chili and hot dogs during the awards. Join the fun!
Next week, join us on Wednesday for the weekly Commodore's Luncheon. Point Loma's City Councilman and President Pro-temp of the City Council as well as SDYC Flag Member and all around good guy Kevin Faulconer will share his views of San Diego finances this Wednesday at the Commodore's Luncheon. Come at 11:30 AM for conviviality when refreshments are available. Lunch is ready at Noon. The program will start at 12:20 PM and is usually over at 1:00 PM.
