Maybe it really is a small world after all. San Diego Yacht Club is being represented in Kingston, Canada by junior alum Zack Downing and Zack Malcolm for the 29er World Championships.

The 29er North American Open concluded on July 24th, wrapping up four days of strong competition between 69 boats from 10 countries. SDYC's Zach Malcolm finished 4th in the North American Championship, and 1st in the US Championship, crewing for Max Brill.

Area G/H/J/L Qualifier for the 2014 US Match Racing Championship for the Prince of Wales Bowl On the weekend of June 14 - 15 San Diego Yacht Club was proud to host the second of two International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Grade 3 Area G/H/J/L qualifiers for the 2014 US Match Racing Championship.

SDYC Junior Program alum Zach Malcolm has set sail in Kingston, Canada and set his sights on winning the 29er North American Championships. With Race Day 2 underway, Malcolm and his skipper Max Brill have 3 great results in the books.

With one race to spare, SDYC's Bil Hardesty has won his second Etchells World Championship in 4 years, with a dominating performance over the highly skilled 94 boat fleet competing in Newport, RI out of New York Yacht Club.

The 2014 Kettenburg & Classic Yacht Regatta begins today and runs through the weekend. There are a number of dockside and on-the-water opportunities to participate.
