Patrick Snow, Kyle Sutter, JP Barnes and I [AJ Reiter] wanted to express our extreme thanks to you as well as San Diego Yacht Club for the amazing opportunity of sailing in the EUROSAF Youth Championships.

A team comprised of Collegiate All-Americans making their first appearance at the 2011 U.S. Team Racing Championship came away with the prestigious George R. Hinman Trophy on Sunday.

23 competitors were selected for the event this year.  Erica Reineke took top prize in the four day event sailed in predominantly light air conditions.

The first day of the Youth Champs was pouring rain, and very light wind in the morning. This regatta was off to an interesting start, considering you could not see more than 50 yards ahead of you for a good portion of the day.

Thank you so much for making it possible for my crew Cutter and I to represent SDYC at the Bemis Trophy event in Toms River, New Jersey. It was a great learning experience and I would not trade it for the world.

The 2011 Snipe World Championship was held in Rungsted, Denmark from August 9-13, and proved to be at least as exciting and competitive an event as any in recent years.
