Sinks & McElvain Win US Sailing Youth Champs

Scott Sinks and Rebecca McElvain saved their best effort for the final day at the US Sailing Youth Champs in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI. The SDYC tandem proved to be the most consistent team of the week to win the Club 420 fleet after four more races Thursday.

Team SDYC/USA Earns Bronze at Youth Match Race Champs

SDYC Members Nevin Snow and Jake La Dow joined 3 other American sailors to form the US team competing in the ISAF Youth Match Race World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Sailing J/80s and under the coaching of Dave Perry, Team SDYC/USA finished 3rd overall in an extremely competitive field.

Zach Malcolm 4th at 29er North Americans

The 29er North American Open concluded on July 24th, wrapping up four days of strong competition between 69 boats from 10 countries. SDYC's Zach Malcolm finished 4th in the North American Championship, and 1st in the US Championship, crewing for Max Brill.
