Etchells World Champion Bill Hardesty (San Diego, Calif.) and ISAF (International Sailing Federation) Sailing World Champion Anna Tunnicliffe (Plantation, Fla.) today were named US Sailing’s 2011 Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year.

The New Years Day race was something else for the PC fleet and everyone else! NO wind and fleets that started 12 minutes ahead of us were still on the line. We were just behind the line at the start but did not get across for one hour.
SDYC members were scattered across the leaderboard in the 29er fleet at the 2011 Orange Bowl in Miami, FL. Judge Ryan (SDYC), sailing with Hans Henken (StFYC) finished 3rd, and as the top American team in the fleet.
