Paris Henken and Aine Fretwell completed the Women's Snipe Nationals, their first regatta together, with a fifth place out of 21 boats. Paris learned a lot about the snipe and found it really exciting to be able to sail outside her normal skiff sailing.
The annual PC Holiday party was held at the home of Mark and Deanne Reynolds. It was a fantastic and well attended event. Among other announcemets.. Past Fleet Captaion Geves Kenny and 2014 Fleet Captain Jim Oberg announced the awarding of a new PC Trophy. The "Caldwell Trophy" will be awarded to the PC skipper who sails the most races per year. The first one to receive the Caldwell Trophy was our own, Bud Caldwell, past Kettenburg boat yard employee and expert PC sailor (#21) . Next years recipient of the trophy has big shoes to fill!

November 24th was a beautiful sunny San Diego fall morning when members from our SDYC cycling club teamed up with the SD Police Department’s (SDPD) cycling/triathlon team and Challenge Athletes Foundation (CAF) for a fun ride around the bay to Coronado.
2013 was a great and busy year for the PC fleet. We have had members come and go. Welcome to all our new fleet members! Note that we have our 2014 Fleet Officers posted on the left of the Home Page. Our annual Holiday Party will be held on Dec. 7th.
A fleet meeting was held on Nov. 2nd to discuss finances, the 2014 race schedule is available online, and proposed changes to the Minimum Cloth weights for sails.
Congratulations to Brad Rodi and the crew of Team SDYC in the one point Lipton Cup victory! Defending champions from California Yacht Club finished second, and Coronado Yacht Club one more point back in third place.
