Back from Mexico and straight into the fire! With thanks to our team of Jeff and Jared in the Sailing Office and Chair Steve Malowney and his volunteer team, our PV Race was a great event and planning is already underway for 2014. Now we are all home and the fun never stops.
After six of the scheduled eight races in the 2012 MEXORC, SDYC boats are in the hunt. Dennis Pennell and his Blue Blazes crew are atop Class B and brother Ernie on Cazador is holding third in Class A.
The women who attended the March 6th Luncheon were treated to great show from Tiffany & Company. A short video informed us about the history of the company and its contributions to jewelry since 1837.

Greetings from Puerto Vallarta! Yesterday the race concluded at 5:30 in the afternoon when Paul Scripps guided Miramar across the line in spectacular reaching conditions with wind in the mid-teens.
They're off! All starters have left for Puerto Vallarta after this afternoon's last three starts for the big boat and multi-hull divisions. The little guys who started Thursday got a jump and are nearly to Cedros Island after just the first day with steady 20+ knot winds and boat speeds exceeding 10 knots.
